Mental Health Workshops with Art
Let’s get creative to help you feel better.
Individual Sessions using Art
Colors can represent feelings, evoke feelings, and express feelings. Art therapy isn’t about how well you can draw or what you can paint. It’s about using color, using textures, using any materials really to free your creativity and allow yourself to express yourself.

Be Your Own Valentine Self Love Workshop
I found the joy of painting, spreading colors, flowing colors, blending colors, and just watching what happens with the paint when I worked at Cancer Support Community. We had a an art instructor come in once a month for a class and I sat down to participate. I’m not sure I’d every painted other than with my children when they were toddlers. After the class I felt a noticeable difference in my tension in my neck and shoulders and I realized it was like I had meditated for a couple of hours. I was amazed. So, I painted more.

About Art Therapy
As much as I believe in the power of words and talking, sometimes they aren’t enough to express or purge what we have experienced. Sometimes the pain is hard to put into words. In those times, the freedom to put them on paper or canvas in creative expression can help us understand and navigate healing.
Art therapy is a type of guided journey using art materials like paints, clay, markers, collage, mosaics, and sometimes even words to get in touch with your feelings or to relax your thoughts and anxiety.
Everyone can utilize art therapy to deal with anxiety and depression, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, coping with illness, stress management, and many other struggles.
