Individual therapy
Individual sessions
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, serving clients in Texas and Illinois via secure teletherapy.
Every session is built around you: your pace, your history, your goals. Individual therapy gives you a steady, private space to work through sexual abuse or childhood trauma, grief, anxiety or depression, or a life transition that’s turned everything upside down.
You set the pace here. You won’t be pressured to share more than feels right, and healing doesn’t have to look a certain way or move on any set timeline.
I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, inner child work, and creative approaches like art and writing for clients who want them, to help you process what’s difficult to put into words.
Areas I work with
- Sexual abuse & trauma recovery
- Childhood & complex trauma
- Grief & pet loss
- Anxiety & depression
- Women’s empowerment
- Inner child work
- Life transitions & chronic illness
- LGBTQ+ affirming care
About individual therapy
Trauma and hard life experiences come in every shape and size. Underneath it all, most of us just want to know we’re not carrying it alone.
Your reactions make sense. If you’ve tried to “just get over it” and it hasn’t worked, that doesn’t mean you failed. It usually means the part of you that needs support hasn’t been met yet. That’s what individual sessions are for.
You won’t be asked to retell your story over and over. Sessions focus on finding steadiness first, then moving toward reflection and growth at a pace that feels safe. I’ll walk alongside you. You don’t have to have it figured out before we start.
FAQs about individual therapy
Is this therapy, or something else? This is individual psychotherapy: clinical care from a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, not a workshop or self-help program.
Will I have to retell everything that happened to me? No. You’re never required to share more than feels right, and we move at whatever pace works for you.
Is this space LGBTQ-affirming? Yes. This is an explicitly LGBTQ+ affirming space. All identities and orientations are welcome and respected here.
Do you only work with trauma and abuse survivors? No. Individual sessions also support anxiety, depression, grief (including pet loss), life transitions, chronic illness, and women’s empowerment work. Trauma-informed care runs through all of it, whatever brings you in.
Do you see clients outside of Texas? Yes. I’m licensed in both Texas and Illinois and see clients in either state via secure teletherapy.
